How To Use Tony’s Turkey Talker®

Below are instructions for using Tony’s Turkey Talker® Traditional Vintage Turkey Call. Please note that he instructions indicate our old address, no longer in use.

Use a very light touch when playing your Tony’s Turkey Talker®.

The proper amount of pressure applied through the hands is barely more than required to keep the call from falling out of your hands!

Your Tony’s Turkey Talker® Handcrafted Turkey Call must vibrate freely in order to produce the sound of a lovesick hen.

Holding the call too tightly or applying excessive pressure between the Box-and-Bow may not only keep the call from operating properly, excessive pressure may result in damage to the call.

Tony’s Turkey Talker® relies on friction between the Box-and-Bow for proper operation.

Keep the bow well-chalked, as the chalk provides friction necessary for the call to function properly.

If the box slides smoothly over the bow, or the volume of sound is low, add more chalk to the bow.

Do not use expensive or “dustless” type chalk, as it may contain additives which lower the friction.

If in doubt or unable to source chalk locally, inquire about Tony’s BluNote™ chalk.
